Jonah Taussig is in his 5th year as head coach for the men’s basketball team. Taussig has led his team to two back to back conference championship final games. Jonah was an assistant coach for the team for eight years and prior to that he was a player for the Huskies.

Taussig brings an impressive array of skills and experience to the Huskies. As a player he won the AUS basketball rookie of the year in 1997, was a two time CIS All Canadian and three time Saint Mary’s Male Athlete of the year. In 1999 Taussig was named the AUS Championship MVP, was a CIS championship Tournament All Star, and as captain of the Huskies, helped led his team to its last National Championship.

A native of Halifax and graduate of Queen Elizabeth High School, Jonah was the Operations Manager for the Department of Athletics & Recreation, before taking over as head coach. Jonah looks forward to building a strong program on the court, in the classroom and in the community.
