Darren Russell enters his eighth full season as Huskies head coach. Hailing from Truro Nova Scotia, Darren was previous the assistant coach at SMU for eight season. In six seasons, he has guided the SMU Huskies to the AUS finals all six years capturing two AUS Championships. Darren was the AUS Coach of the Year in 2010-11 and 2011-12 season. Darren has been a head coach at the club and college level and was the head coach for the Nova Scotia Women's Canada Game team that captured 4th in 2009. Darren has partially completed his level 4 certification and continues to be one of the leading women's volleyball coaches in the Atlantic Region.
